Sinfonia
The flagship of the DONNA family. Our most powerful model for complex tasks that demand deep reasoning, tool calling and multimodality.
When all the voices come together
A symphony is the most demanding form of instrumental music: many voices that have to be brought together over long stretches without any single one losing the thread. Donna Sinfonia is built on this principle — it is the most powerful model in the DONNA family and at home wherever a task cannot be solved in a single step.
Sinfonia thinks before it answers. Rather than returning the first plausible solution, the model breaks complex problems down, pursues several solution paths in parallel and checks intermediate results against the original question. These extended reasoning capabilities make the difference in multi-step analyses, formal argumentation and tasks whose requirements only become fully apparent while they are being worked on.
Add to that reliable tool calling: Sinfonia decides on its own when an external tool is needed, calls it with correctly structured parameters and carries on processing the result — even across longer chains of tool calls. Combined with vision input, the model handles documents, diagrams, screenshots and scans in the same working step as text: an annual report as a PDF, a technical drawing and the related e-mail correspondence are a single context for Sinfonia.
Like all DONNA configurations, Sinfonia is based on curated, licensed and public data sets; customer data never flows into model adaptation. Inference takes place exclusively on European infrastructure (see model specification). As the most powerful model in the family, Sinfonia has undergone the most extensive safety programme in the series: red teaming, bias checks and robustness tests before release.
Use cases
When Sinfonia — and when not
Sinfonia is designed for depth, not throughput. Extended reasoning processes take more time and more tokens than a direct answer. For summaries, correspondence, translations and other everyday tasks, Cadenza is the faster and more economical choice; for work specific to programming languages, Coda.
Limitations & notes
Sinfonia, too, can produce factually incorrect, incomplete or inconsistent results. Extended reasoning reduces these risks; it does not eliminate them — a thoroughly reasoned answer is not automatically a correct one. The model has no access to real-time information and is limited to the knowledge state of its training, unless additional sources are made available to it through tools.
Sinfonia must not be used as the sole basis for decisions with legal, medical, financial or safety-related consequences. Human review is strongly recommended for all decision-relevant outputs.
